me, in a nutshell

i stopped by the front office at work this morning to retrieve a package and excitedly showed it to the admin who works there and is a buddy of mine.

"my meat seasoning came!!! my meat seasoning came!!!"

she looked up with an expression that combined amusement and exasperation.

"you know, when anyone else gets a package around here it's a desk copy or a CD full of math problems."

"i get desk copies too!" i defended.

"yeah. but with you usually it's meat seasoning. or cowboy boots. or accordions."
